LUMORA GUIDED WORKBOOK · 01

The Gentle Reset

A guided journey back to yourself.

A quiet space to pause, reflect, understand what you're carrying, and gently begin again.

Begin Your Journey

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

You don't need to
have it all figured out.

This workbook is an invitation to slow down.

There may be seasons when life feels noisy, overwhelming, or simply out of alignment. You may find yourself moving through your days without really checking in with how you're doing.

The Gentle Reset is a space to pause and listen to yourself again.

There are no perfect answers here. No pressure to complete everything at once. Take what feels useful, leave what doesn't, and move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

❦

Give yourself permission to be honest, curious, and gentle with yourself.

Begin Chapter One
CHAPTER 01

PAUSE

Where am I
right now?

Before we change anything, we begin by noticing.

Life can move quickly. Work, relationships, responsibilities, expectations, and everyday demands can fill our attention until we have very little space left to notice ourselves.

Sometimes we become so used to feeling tired, stressed, worried, disconnected, or overwhelmed that those feelings begin to feel normal.

But noticing how you are doing is not a sign that something is wrong with you. It is a way of becoming more aware of what is happening within you.

This chapter isn't asking you to fix anything. For now, we're simply going to pause.

REFLECTION 01

If you were to describe how you've genuinely been feeling lately, what would you say?

Don't worry about making it sound good. Write honestly. A few words are enough, or you can fill the space with everything that comes to mind.

GENTLE CHECK-IN

Which words feel closest to your experience right now?

Choose as many as feel true. You can also choose none of them.

REFLECTION 02

What has been taking up the most emotional space in your life recently?

Think about situations, relationships, responsibilities, thoughts, worries, decisions, or anything else that has been occupying your mind.

REFLECTION 03

When was the last time you felt genuinely at ease?

It doesn't have to be a big moment. Maybe it was a conversation, a quiet morning, being outside, listening to music, laughing, resting, or simply having nothing you needed to do.

A MOMENT TO PAUSE

Give yourself two quiet minutes.

Put your phone down if you can. Take a slow breath. Notice your body. Notice the room around you.

You don't need to empty your mind. Simply notice what is there.

01

What am I noticing in my body?

02

What emotion is present?

03

What does my mind keep returning to?

ONE LAST REFLECTION

If your feelings could speak, what do you think they might be trying to tell you?

You don't have to solve everything today. Noticing is already a beginning.

CHAPTER 02

NOTICE

What am I
carrying?

Sometimes we feel overwhelmed before we realise just how much we have been carrying.

Emotional weight isn't always obvious. Sometimes it looks like constantly thinking about the same problem. Sometimes it looks like irritability, exhaustion, withdrawing from people, struggling to rest, or feeling like there is simply too much to do.

We can carry responsibilities, expectations, disappointments, unresolved conversations, fears about the future, and even things that happened a long time ago.

None of this means that you are weak. It simply means that you are human.

In this chapter, we're going to slow down enough to notice what has been taking up space inside you.

REFLECTION 01

What has been weighing on you lately?

Think about anything that has been making life feel heavier — responsibilities, relationships, uncertainty, expectations, work, finances, decisions, or thoughts you keep returning to.

REFLECTION 02

Is there a thought you keep coming back to?

Sometimes the mind repeatedly returns to the same worry, question, regret, or fear. Write down whatever comes to mind without judging yourself for having the thought.

NOTICE YOUR SIGNALS

How does stress usually show up for you?

Select anything you've noticed recently. There is no right or wrong answer.

A GENTLE SORTING EXERCISE

What is mine to carry?

When everything feels tangled together, it can help to separate what is within your influence from what isn't.

You don't have to solve everything. For now, simply notice the difference.

01

Within my control

My choices, responses, boundaries, actions, communication, and how I care for myself.

02

Outside my control

Other people's choices, the past, uncertainty, and things I cannot change right now.

REFLECTION 03

What are you expecting from yourself right now?

Consider the standards you have placed on yourself. Are you expecting yourself to always be productive, strong, available, successful, calm, or certain?

REFLECTION 04

If someone you loved were carrying what you're carrying, what would you say to them?

Imagine that a friend told you everything you've written in this chapter. What would you want them to hear?

You don't have to carry everything simply because you've been carrying it for a long time.

CHAPTER 03

RECONNECT

What do I
actually need?

Beneath many of our emotions is a need asking to be noticed.

We often become very good at asking ourselves what we should do, what we should achieve, or what other people need from us.

But how often do we pause and ask: What do I need?

A need isn't a demand or a weakness. It is information about what helps us feel safe, supported, rested, connected, respected, or able to function well.

Sometimes we don't recognise a need until it has gone unmet for a long time. Irritability might be pointing toward rest. Loneliness might be pointing toward connection. Feeling overwhelmed might be telling us that we need support or fewer demands.

This chapter is an invitation to listen.

GENTLE NEEDS CHECK-IN

Which of these do you feel you need more of right now?

Choose whatever feels true. You can choose several, or simply notice which ones make you pause.

REFLECTION 01

What might your emotions be trying to tell you?

Think about an emotion that has been showing up repeatedly. Instead of asking yourself how to get rid of it, become curious about what it might be communicating.

I have been feeling...

Perhaps this feeling is connected to...

What I may need is...

RECONNECT WITH YOUR BODY

Your body often notices before your mind does.

Take a slow breath and bring your attention to your body. You don't need to change anything. Simply notice.

01

Where do I feel tension?

02

Where do I feel relaxed or comfortable?

03

What does my body seem to be asking for?

REFLECTION 02

What helps you feel like yourself again?

Think beyond productivity. Consider the people, places, activities, routines, environments, or little moments that help you feel grounded or connected to yourself.

REFLECTION 03

Who or what helps you feel supported?

Support can come from people, communities, routines, faith, creativity, nature, professional support, or simply having a safe place to talk.

A LITTLE PERMISSION

What would change if you allowed yourself to need?

Sometimes we judge ourselves for having needs. We tell ourselves we should be stronger, more independent, more productive, or less affected by things.

For a moment, imagine that you don't have to justify what you need.

ONE LAST REFLECTION

What is one need you would like to take more seriously?

Your needs are not an inconvenience. They are part of being human.

CHAPTER 04

CREATE SPACE

What can I
release, change,
or protect?

Making space doesn't always mean doing more. Sometimes it means doing less.

Once we become aware of what we're carrying and what we need, another question naturally appears: What needs to change?

Creating space can mean many things. It might mean saying no to something that consistently drains you. It might mean asking for help, changing a routine, stepping away from a relationship dynamic, or giving yourself permission to rest.

It can also mean accepting that some things are outside your control and choosing not to spend all of your energy trying to change them.

Creating space isn't about becoming unavailable or caring less about other people. It's about recognising that your wellbeing deserves space too.

REFLECTION 01

What has been draining your energy?

Think about activities, responsibilities, conversations, relationships, environments, habits, or expectations that regularly leave you feeling depleted.

THE RELEASE LIST

What are you ready to put down?

Not everything you've been carrying belongs in your future. Some things can simply be acknowledged and released.

01

An expectation I no longer want to place on myself...

02

Something I keep replaying in my mind...

03

Something I cannot control...

REFLECTION 02

Where might you need a healthier boundary?

A boundary is not a punishment or a way of controlling someone else. It is a way of communicating what you are comfortable with, what you can offer, and what you need to protect.

BUILD YOUR BOUNDARY

What would you like to communicate?

Think of one situation where you would like to communicate a clearer boundary.

01

The situation

02

What I need

03

What I could say

REFLECTION 03

What would you say yes to if you felt comfortable saying no?

Sometimes our lives become crowded because there is very little room to decline requests, expectations, or opportunities.

REFLECTION 04

What would you like to make more room for?

Think about the things that nourish you: rest, creativity, relationships, learning, faith, movement, solitude, laughter, meaningful work, or simply being present.

ONE GENTLE CHANGE

Which small change feels realistic for you?

Choose something small enough that you could realistically begin this week.

MY NEXT SMALL STEP

What is one thing you can do differently this week?

Keep it simple. You don't need a complete life transformation. One intentional step is enough.

You are allowed to protect your peace, make room for yourself, and choose what deserves your energy.

CHAPTER 05

BEGIN AGAIN

You don't have
to start over.

You can begin again from where you are.

You've paused. You've noticed what you've been carrying. You've listened to your needs and considered what you might want to release, change, or protect.

Now comes the gentlest question: How do I want to move forward?

Beginning again doesn't mean becoming a completely different person. It doesn't mean fixing every part of your life at once.

Sometimes beginning again is simply choosing one small thing differently.

A little more honesty. A little more rest. A clearer boundary. A kinder voice toward yourself. A willingness to ask for help.

Let this final chapter be a moment to gather what you've discovered and turn it into something you can carry beyond these pages.

REFLECTION 01

What have I learned about myself?

Look back through the previous chapters. Notice any patterns, realisations, or truths that stood out to you.

REFLECTION 02

What do I want to carry forward?

Think about the insights, habits, boundaries, relationships, or ways of thinking that you want to keep nurturing.

LETTING GO

What am I ready to leave behind?

You don't have to forget something in order to stop carrying it.

Write down something you no longer want to give the same amount of emotional energy to.

REFLECTION 03

What kind of person do I want to be?

Not what do you want to accomplish. Who do you want to be while you're living your life?

MY GENTLE RESET PLAN

A few promises to myself.

This isn't a list of things you have to perfect. Think of it as a gentle agreement with yourself.

01

I will make time for...

02

I will protect...

03

I will ask for...

04

I will remind myself...

ONE SMALL PROMISE

What is one gentle promise you can make to yourself?

Make it realistic. Make it kind. Make it something you can return to even when life becomes difficult again.

A LETTER TO MYSELF

Write something your future self might need to hear.

Imagine reading this letter on a difficult day. What would you want to remind yourself about who you are, what you've survived, what you deserve, or what you are still becoming?

MY GENTLE RESET

If I could take one thing from this workbook with me, it would be...

You are allowed to begin again.

Not because you failed, but because you are growing.

Take what you need. Leave what you don't. And keep moving gently.

THE GENTLE RESET · COMPLETE

You made space for yourself.

Keep these pages somewhere you can return to them whenever you need another pause.
